Crafting!

I have finally finished one of my many 'in-the-works-projects' and I am very excited about how this one turned out! For the last 6 months or so, I've had most of the supplies to finish my baby girl's name frames for her bedroom but just the other day I went out and bought the last few items.

When I was about 7 months pregnant I was shopping at Micheal's craft store and spotted a girl's name decorated in a frame with fun matting around it. I then got the idea to put each letter in an individual frame instead, and combined that with another baby room name I had seen which had letters hanging by ribbons. Originally I thought I would have them finished before she was born in December, however I got lazy and forgot about them until recently :)

I purchased seven durable thick black picture frames from the Dollar Tree. I went to Micheal's for scrapbook paper that was 59cents a piece. I chose 7 different designs (but could have gotten away with two or three and alternated since I only used a corner of each page) and I already had pink ribbon to hang them from which was under a dollar from WalMart. After some printing, outlining, and gluing, they are finished! I can't believe how inexpensive this was to do, and how happy I am with them! This is also something that may be able to stay in her room longer than any regular baby-themed items which makes me happy. I hope that when she can talk to us that she tells me she likes them too! :)
